Memory allocation on UNO Q

Is there any way to redistribute the available memory to both the Arduino and Debian part of the eMMC in the UNO Q?

Currently the Arduino App Lab application has access to 3.58GB of storage which I would like to drastically reduce to free up for space for the Debian part of my system. (i only need this to be in the range of 1GB)

Debian currently has access to 9.73GB of which ~8GB is the OS, meaning only just over 1GB is available for the users application...
Looking forward to any tips you might have!

There are many options:

  1. gparted
  2. 4gb version
  3. USB flash
  4. Google Drive mount

I have some news to share on this subject: The developers are working to add the option for the user of the Arduino Flasher CLI tool to configure the size of the root partition when flashing the operating system image to the UNO Q:

Once completed, this feature will be present in the next release of Arduino Flasher CLI.

An update: the configurable root partition feature I mentioned in my previous reply is now available for use in the new version 0.5.3 of Arduino Flasher CLI:

The new version is currently available for download from the links under the "Assets" section of the release page in the GitHub repository:

It will also be available for download from the "Software" page shortly:
