Hello people,

I want to make a "lamp" that is controled by sound. There for I need a sensor to measure sound. What type of a sensor do I need? Or do you always need to make it your self? Do you fix this on the board? (I have an Uno) or on the breadboard?

Would be great if you can help me, I'm new to this and lost, haha.

You need an electret microphone and an amplifier. As a newcomer, you will find it easiest to buy a ready-made unit such as this SparkFun Electret Microphone Breakout - BOB-12758 - SparkFun Electronics.
