MIDI device tutorial help plz

Hi i've been buiding this tutorial

Create a MIDI Device | Arduino Documentation

And i keep getting this error message, saying that button1 is not defined, even though it is defined in the previous lines. It looks like it should work, but idk could some one read threw this and let me know what's going on? thanks

P.S. the code is included as a screenshot attachment, is this correct posting procedure?

I can't reproduce the issue with either the code from the tutorial page or the repository. The only thing I can think is maybe you have button1 and buttonl, which look identical in the font the Arduino IDE uses.
