Is there a product you can point me too to build a mini conveyor that I can control via computer that would move back and forth?. Something like: One direction, stop on sense, pause, then the other direction, stop on sense, pause......and repeat. It would move a 2 lb object bank and forth over about 18inches.
What will it move? Size, weight, acceleration, speed etc.?
What size would that be? Anything between a monster stacking type conveyor right down to a little desktop sized one like this one on AliExpress:
It says DC so perhaps simply reversing the voltage on the motor will be all that is needed.
You can add your own break beam sensors to sense objects.
Looks very similar to the one I linked to but it was quite a bit less than $98.99.
You will need a motor driver that can handle 24V and the motor startup/stall current, as well as some sort of sensor.
Pololu has the best selection of both.
that is much less. Never ordered from Aliexpress but worth a try. thanks
Thats a good start for me. thanks. Do you think there is an Arudino library and I could use with little modification to move the belt and and forth?
There are many. Pololu certainly supports their products for use with Arduino.
If you really do want to build it then you could improvise something like my curtain opener. It used a cord pulling heavy bedroom curtains open and closed. You'd need another 'pulley', with your conveyor band around both. My circuit was a decade or two before I discovered Arduino so yours could be very much simpler.
Nice!
I've had a cheap screwdriver sitting next to a window that really deserves an automatic blinds adjusted. Never mind for how long...
I'd call it a winch not a pulley but what I gots to know is how you made everything white.

Walls were (are) matt white so my stuff got painted.
