MIXLY 'Scratch-type' Drag-Drop programming for Arduino: Installation??

Hello Everyone,

I am working on an updated Online Education facility aimed especially at younger students, for use during this so-difficult time of the Covid-19 Virus. I have successfully used MIXLY as the introductory programming system for Arduino, with middle-school age students. A little example:

If you are interested in helping test the new version please email terry@yourduino.com

I have just managed to download the newest V1.08 version of MIXLY for both PC and MAC from the Beijing developers. Both run beautifully. My question is the PC installation. I NEED to be able to host easily downloadable and installable versions for students. The PC installation available is two-steps:

  • Download 60 Meg starter
  • Execute starter to start GIT update
  • Download over 1 G data
  • Run installation successfully.

Has ANYone tried this?? I would appreciate help!

I WANT to be able to provide a single ZIP file for students for the PC installation. I can get it to them on CD or USB Drive in some cases.

MAC: Is a single 600M zip, which runs well after unzipping.

OTHER: I am putting together a minimum kit for students with my RoboRED UNO-compatible, sensors, actuators, cables, components that can be shipped in a ziplock bag.

The VERY-UNFINISHED project is here:

It will be 24-48 hours before this MIGHT be useable... New MIXLY still uploading.

I can use some help on this. If you are sheltering at home with potential students, think about looking at this.

I have a friend on the street in China and I can get parts shipped DHL in 6-7 days. I plan to be able to mail/ship a few kits starting in 2 days...

Your Guidance, critiques, suggestions, pointers would be very much appreciated!

Regards, Terry
