MKR 1310 board power problem on VIN, low voltage on 5V pin

Continuing the discussion from MKR Connector Carrier, low connector voltage when using VIN (non-USB) power:

Hello,

I have a problem with the Arduino MKR 1310...
When I power them through the VIN and GND pins with an external power supply of 5V as recommended by the datasheet, I end up with a voltage of 2.354 Volts at the output of the 5V pin.

I have tested with different boards and different power supplies but the problem persists...

Searching, I found this post where several users were encountering the same problem. The solution would be to connect the VIN pin to the 5V pin.

Would you have an explanation for this? Is there another solution?
