MKRWAN1310 powered via MKR Connector board no longer sends over LoRaWAN

Is there a known problem with LoRaWAN on the MKRWAN1310 only working if powered through the USB port?

I want to power my MKRWAN1310 through the screw terminals on the MKR Connector board because it should last longer outdoors than through the USB port. I am supplying 15v dc which is within spec for the Connector board.

However, my device only sends data over LoRaWAN if it is powered via USB. If I power it via the MKR Connector board then it stops sending messages. The board still "works" but seemingly not the LoRa bit of it.

Is this a known problem? There seem to be several posts where the device only works if it is powered via usb.

Thought I would share the workaround, found on another post in the forum: MKR Connector Carrier, low connector voltage when using VIN (non-USB) power - #5 by alfredkievit

Putting a jumper across VIN and 5v fixed my issue.

Shouldn't be necessary, but hey - it works now
