Mpu6050 - error 2 - endTransmission

Hi,

I want to use the MPU6050 on GY521, but Ardunio Uno does not find it.
I connected as described in several threads here in the forum.

3.3V - VCC
GND - GND
A5 - SCL
A4 - SDA

I read Arduino Playground - MPU-6050
I tried i2c_Scanner.
The function Wire.endTransmission delivers error = 2 (received NACK on transmit of address).

What does this mean?

What does this mean?

It means the chips is either not connected (or not correctly) or the wrong address was sent.

Please provide a link to the product you actually have as this chip is delivered on many different boards. Does your board has pullup resistors on the PCB? If yes, what values? How long is the wiring between the Arduino and the board?

after reading a lot of threads I re-connected everything and run i2c_Scanner.
Now address 68 is found.

at least I saw the address 68 for one time.
There seems to be a defective contact on the GY521 or in my arduino.

Please provide a link to the product you actually have as this chip is delivered on many different boards. Does your board has pullup resistors on the PCB? If yes, what values? How long is the wiring between the Arduino and the board?
