I am attempting to set up an MQTT connection from a Portenta H7 Lite to a remote broker utilizing the GSMClient and the Cat.M1/NBIoT GNSS Shield. AS of now, no libraries seem compatible with this hardware setup. Any library that claims to be compatible with the H7 series expects either the Ethernet or Wifi client and fails to function with the GSM client. Although the Socket opens correctly, writes continuously fail and the socket is immediately closed.
On the other hand, when using a passthrough sketch to the Cinterion TX62 chip, I am able to manually set up a mqtt connection to my broker.
Has anyone gotten MQTT working using the GNSS shield?
