According to several posts and other sources I have read ,the ICSP pins should duplicate the reset, ground, 5v and D11-13 data pins. Apparently they should be just hard wired inside the board.
I have 4 Nanos and none of them seems to have the ICSP pins connected to their 'mother' pins.
I've tried powering up the board from USB and checking voltage across !CSP pins 2&6 -- no volts!
I've tried an ohm meter between the ICSP pins and their main pins counterparts -- no connections.
Do I just have some dud Nanos or is there something I'm missing here?
Why I'm doing this
I have a project that needs to fit within a very restricted case and needs to power a couple of other (low power) components.
I was planning to use the main ground & 5v pins to power one and the ICSP pins to power and communicate with the other. This is mainly to avoid having a rat's nest of wires to split the feeds.
Yes, I can just make up a little strip board to break out the feeds, but that would be messier.
