MY ARDUINO IS:ARDUINO UNO R3 ATmega 328P and ATmega 16u2
I HAVE A PROBLEM I INSTALLED ALL NECESSARY DRIVERS INCLUDING:THE MAIN ARDUINO UNO R3 DRIVER,THE ATMEL FLIP DRIVER BUT
WHEN I RUN THE ATMEL FLIP PROGRAMME I TRYED TO TURN ON THE COMMINICATIONS ON VIA USB BUT ONCE I PRESSED OK IN THE WINDOW THAT POPPED OUT IT SAYS

I have another problem my arduino doesnt enter DFU mode
when I try to do the steps in putting the board to DFU it just doesnt work
there are no new drives detected
I cant flash it because it says could not open usb device

what exacly should i see in my device manager if the board entered DFU mode?
and any other alternatives?

WHY do you want to MESS AROUND with the 16U2?
Normally you never want to replace the firmware of the 16U2 USB-Serial converter on the board.
Why do you want?
And which firmware for the 16U2 do you think might be more suitable for you than the existing one?

Im trying to convert my board into a joystick but unfortunately when im trying to flash it it doesnt work
and does the DFU mode had something to do in "could not open USB device"error?
