Need Help! In my project I wanna measure distance of a moving object lets say a train the length <3 m,

I want guidance on how I can make it work like from Both Hardware and Software POV, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The distance will be changing in a moving object.

The thing is the object will be moving and I want to measure the distance it has travelled.

You must know two of these to get the third. If you want distance, you must know velocity and time.

The problem is velocity and time will not be same each time the measurement will be taken.

If only one measurement, then you don't care if the train is moving or not. The measurement will be just a single instant in time. Are there other things near the train that might confuse the measurement?

  • the distance of a moving object but without being "here" or "there"
  • to calculate time without velocity, speed or time.

Its not troll buddy I don't have much knowledge about sensors and stuff So I am already confused.
