Need help with error with nano uploading

i have a Arduino nano its quite old not sure how old but it shows error messages while uploading
avrdude: ser_open(): can't set com-state for "\.\COM9"
Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 1
does anyone know solution

Is it genuine or a clone? If clone, try a different processor.

See if Port monitor error: command 'open' failed: Invalid serial port. Could not connect to COM serial port - #49 by ptillisch solves the issue.
