Hi, complete newbie here, I am hoping to be able to use an Arduino to control a TFT screen as a DIS screen in the center of my dash clocks. the vehicle currently has a low spec dash that just illuminates warning light as bulbs and i want to transfer this information to a TFT for a more modern look. Some information would be taken from the vehicles CAN network others will be taken from independent sensors. In short i need to know if i can take a signal from the vehicle and transfer that into information to be displayed on the screen. Is this even possible.
Hi Sonofcy, its good to know its possible, I have spent days googling to just try and find that out! the issue is I know what I want to do in my head and have years of motor trade experience but don't know what I need to make it possible! I have only just joined the forum so will have a look about on here as well.
When searching avoid technical terms, just use street language like 'dash instrument replace CAN' and so on. Even better use the google AI or another AI if you have access to one. Then use natural language and be as wordy as possible, the more clues you hive the AI as in 10's of lines of prompt the better the answer.
That makes sense will give the google AI a try, I'm sure what I want to do isn't that difficult just need pointing in the right direction and letting go like one of those wind up toys!
