New to arduino look for some info

I’m trying to get pointed in the correct direction. I’m needing a system that will turn a stepper, every time it make 1 revolution it will turn another stepper a specific degree. I’ve been retrofitting cnc equipment so I know enough to get by but I need something custom I can control.

I know nothing about arduino. Could you point me to what may get this job done and what I would need

I don't know much about steppers.

  1. You know how many steps in a revolution. So you do that number of steps.
  2. Once that number of steps is completed, you turn the other stepper a specific number of steps (degrees). Back to the first one.

You can read up on finite state machines. I think there are one or more examples in the tutorial section of the forum.

Search for 'stepper' in the libraries panel. Look at the examples each provides until you find one close to what you want. Modify that. Here is one example.

You can either learn to do all this yourself, which will take some time, or hire a professional to do the job.

For the former, you need to first learn what Arduino can do and how it is programmed.

The Arduino IDE comes with lots of examples showing most of the important features, and there are countless tutorials on line for most popular projects, especially steppers.
