NodeMCU Esp12E not detected on Web editor

I can't any more use NodeMCU boards with the web editor, but these boards can be uploaded with the normal local Arduino IDE.

Hi @JMB67. Please provide a detailed explanation of the problem you are experiencing, including:

  • What did you do?
  • What were the results you expected from doing that?
  • What were the results you observed that did not match your expectations?
    • Make sure to include the full and exact text of any error or warning message you might have encountered.

When i connect a NodeMcu 12E board under Arduino cloud web editor the node MCU is no more detected !!!

When i connect an ESP32 board it works properly.

Do you know what can be wrong ?

Please try this:

  1. Click on the board selection menu.
  2. Select "Select Other Board & Port" from the menu.

In the "Select Other Board & Port" dialog that opens, do you see a "PORTS" menu? If so, does it contain the port of your NodeMCU board?

If you are using a Chromebook, please note that you will need to have the Arduino Chrome App installed.

  • If you purchased the Arduino Create app from the Chrome Web Store as a single user this is the link to the app you must install: Arduino Create Single User.
  • If you are part of a school or organizations that owns an Arduino Chrome App plan for education you must obtain the app from this other link Chrome App for Education

Hi, i'm using the cloud web editor . When i connect a nodemcu 8266 board ( i have several boards ) , the board is not recognized !!!

The com port is good and when i connect an ESP32 board , the board is recognized .

When i use the local arduino IDE ( not cloud web editor ) all the nodemcu boards are recognized and i can upload.
