I have an Arduino Uno for my classes at Uni, but now I can no longer upload code. When I do so, I get a 'COM port not found error', even though my computer recognizes that it is there. I have made sure to use the same COM port I have always used, and using this on 2 other computers gave the same result (Mine is 7 x64, one was 7 x32, and the other was XP). I am worried the board is broken, since I cannot figure out how to make it work and I couldn't find anything relative in Google, plus it was acting very weird before it stopped working. Any help is appreciated.
Check that the com port appears and disappears in the Serial Port menu under the tools menu in the Arduino IDE. If not then either the board or USB lead is faulty.
Have you been doing anything that might damage it?
does the COM Port appears in device manager on windows7 when you connect usb on arduino?

It does not appear in the Arduino Programming (using 022) on any of the machines. I don't think I was doing anything dangerous, I had 2 servos, a piezo speaker, a photoresistor, and 2 whiskers, all were run off power from the board.

Yes, it appears

when I plug it in and disappears when I unplug it. It says it is working fine, and re-installing the drivers didn't change anything
