I do not know if it works in IDE 2.x. It does work on my IDE 1.8.9

Im doing ADC reads over com port. I want to invoke Bluetooth on TRINKET and use as com port to my Phone display using REMOTE XY.
Cant see how to put the Blutooth com port on - thats my next challenge !!!
A Trinket is a very basic controller. Which Trinket are you using?
Why not use an ESP8266 or ESP32? Bluetooth is built-in and there are tons of tutorials on the net.
