delay() is OK in some cases and so is Fritzing
The problem is in defining which cases
Just be relaxed about it, Iāve made some good boards with fritzing , but came from the tape and acetate era , so go straight the PCB anyway and then made the schematic afterwards as a separate project .
Never use the breadboard layout , which is pretty pointless .
At last, some sensible answers....

No, I don't use Fritzing myself but I don't condemn it. I do think that learning to draw and read a schematic is an essential skill for electronics hobbyists.

I used it recently, and successfully. But it was a PITA and slow, and I wonder if I saved any time over pencil & paper in the end. I drew my schematic first, in "schematic view," then switched to "breadboard view" to manually lay out my components on stripboard. The stripboard was limited in size by the box it needed to fit into, so I knew I needed to plan the layout carefully. I downloaded a library with some standard parts which had alternative "breadboard view" appearance, resembling how those components actually look from above, and the space they take up, a little more accurately.
I bet it didnāt have the option of standing a resistor on end. That way you can use a spacing of one or two holes, as well as the lying down option of 3 at a squash or 4 hole spacing.
It did actually, the library of "alternative parts" included vertical mounted resistors and diodes!
