It's a good one.
I've used this for block diagrams, etc. It works well.
(not actually tried it for schematics)
There is also a download to run it offline locally.
Just had a look at it @xfpd but I cant see eny options for electrical /electronic components. Can you give a bit more info please?
EDIT:
Both 'Electrical 1' and 'Electrical 2' seem to give the same "palette":
(well, as far as the headings go - haven't delved into each one)
Hello John,
I found them.
There is a blue button at the bottom left hand side that says:
Click on that and a pop up appears:
You need to scroll down the list to find the "Electrical" category.
Tick the "Electrical" box and "Apply", and you get a whole load of electrical categories added:
Are there any Arduino objects, and if not, how easy is it to create your own library of parts, or import same from others? Curious.
What do you mean by, "Arduino objects" ?
I tend to recommend this one For users that need to draw something but don't have pen and paper
Without disparaging flowchart maker which clearly has its uses, I feel there are better online apps for drawing schematics.
has arduino parts. I made this in a few seconds from launching the app
That's the same one that @Deva_Rishi posted?
Yes and i think it is a good one !
Objects or symbols that depicts Arduinos.
Are there other alternatives than what's been mentioned in this thread? I think they are still a bit difficult to learn from a beginners perspective, but I don't wanna recommend something like Fritizing
Seriously, paper and pencil... then move it into the app that lets you design an Arduino pinout. (@Deva_Rishi / @johnerrington ).
Maybe write a "beginner how to" for a pencil-drawn schematic showing what will convey the needed information for a post, and post it here. You will be adored every time a novice thread starts with a schematic using your design.
(edit - as a matter of fact, a couple layers deep through "how to get the most out of this forum" @johnerrington shows "how-to move paper and pencil to online schematic")
