im just new to arduino, and a friend of my send me a program we wrote togheter. The problem is that i can't open the file. when i try to open it, it sais that i have to put it into a sketchmap.
can annyone help me

If you have it in a file with the '.ino' extension then when you open that file with the Arduino IDE it should ask if you want it moved to the right folder. Let the IDE do that and you will be all set.
You can open an ino file in a text editor.
