Original Arduino Uno R3 not connecting to pc meanwhile other boards connect

I got an original Arduino Uno R3 a while ago and then it somehow broke without me doing anything, yesterday it was working but now it doesn't even show up on anywhere, i tried different computers, made sure my cable worked by plugging other boards in to the cable but it looks like it self-destructed itself somehow?

If you push the reset button does the LED blink about 3 times

it goes 5x a second and the L led is a bit dim and it looks like it goes a linear turn on (like 0.5v 1v 2v 3v) and it doesn't even make a connect noise

Does it show up in the IDE?
What happens when you try to download something?

it doesn't show up anywhere doesn't make any noise and it was broken...

Time to buy a new one.

well i bought a new arduino mega 2560 (CH340) and it says avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
could you help?

Do you have the correct board and port selected in the IDE

I do but i'll update you next week about it and if it gets fixed i'll say it. I'll have to wait until january 3 or so for me to update you

Extremely unlikely. The most useful and productive assumption is that you made some mistake that has not yet been discovered.

No hurry, take your time.

yeah, the Mega came broken, i mean it works it connects but no upload works.

the only thing i connected was a stepper motor driver that i povered with 6v (the stepper pins [aka the driver connection pins to arduino] are regulated to 5v though) and that couldn't have broken it cuz i connected the same circuit and that time the stepper motor was powered with 12v

If connected correctly it wouldn't matter, so...
At this point, no annotated schematics = no answers.
