Pair HC-05 to Windows Laptop

I connected by HC-05 to my Android phone using the Serial Bluetooth Terminal app. Given that Android detects the HC-05 and the SBT app can connect I then tried to pair it with my Windows 10/11 laptops. Neither discover the HC-05 when I click Add Device in the Bluetooth screen. Does anyone have an suggestion why that is happening? The HC-05 is rapid flashing so ready to pair. Works well with Android. Just not discovered by either of two laptops. Thanks for your suggestions.

I'm replying to my own question bc I found a solution. In Windows10/11 there is a Bluetooth icon somewhere on the lower right corner of the screen. Might be in "Show Hidden Items". I right clicked on the Bluetooth icon and selected "Open Settings". In the "Bluetooth & devices > Devices" dialog screen that pops up is a field titled "Bluetooth devices discovery". This has a selector at the right side of the field that for me was set to "Default". I changed this setting from Default to Advanced. After doing that I was able to see the HD05 device in the list of discovered devices and was able to pair it with the PC. I hope this is helpful to someone else who may encounter this same issue. Regards.

Thanks for bringing this up. I saw before that there was a problem, but I didn't pursue it.
