Hence, does anyone know where I can get a PCB schematic for the Mega that I can use?

Do a Google search for;

'arduino mega'

You should see a link to the arduino mega board on the Arduino store website.

The schematics will be found on the 'documentation' tab.

PCB layout is in Eagle.
