Hello. Recently I bought an off brand electronics kit from a company named RexQualis and it is based on the Arduino Uno Rev3. After I started using it one part of the digital pins plastic casing fell out and got lost. Now I'm trying to do a project that requires many digital pins but can't do it because of this problem. Please tell me what I can do or what alternatives there are.
Buy an 8 pin female header.
Use needle nose pliers to remove each pin from the header.
Carefully replace the now empty female header over the exposed pins on the Uno.
Profit.
Personally I would replace them with mail pins and you will not have that problem. You can get a solder sucker for a few coins and use that to clear around the existing pins. Then be sure the holes are open and you can insert the pin header. Tack one pin and be sure it is properly aligned, if not adjust if so solder the rest of the pins. You can use a female header if you like the process is the same.
Important if you are not skilled in soldering It is best to get somebody to help or do it for you. It is easy to destroy the Arduino.
Plug your Uno into your breadboard and "connect" to the pins in question by placing jumper wires beside the desired pins. Disregard... the Uno pins probably do not extend below the board.
Send it back and ask for a refund.
