...SimCom A7670G? The board is extremely tiny, and I see Vin but no Vcc. Can I use Vin for my 10v 2a adapter, or is Vcc somewhere on the board that I have overlooked? I tried contacting SimCom, but no response. Thank You.

Please link and photos to the module you are using.
The SIM 76xx chips don’t use 5V Vcc.
Careful, you’ll destroy the chip if you connect it up incorrectly.

This is the board. joe.
Now we need the datasheet.
You can’t use a module like this without manufacture's data.
I see Vin at the top tight, and ground ar bottom right.
That’s only half the question.., what are the I/O voltages and states for all the other points ?
Vcc on the chip itself is either 3V3 or 1V8
5 or 12V will smoke it if there’s no on-module regulator.
If it was an Arduino shield footprint, there’s a good chance it’s 5V compatible - but it’s not.an Arduino noard pinout.
Also remember the SIM76xx requires Vcc at up to 10W maximum when connecting and transmitting,
Okay, what if I USE this with an Arduino Uno???
Okay, here is the SimCom info. I'm new to this, so if something is obvious, please understand. I just want to know where to apply my 3.3 v (USB ??) and 10v(2a) adapter respectively, without destroying the board. Thanks, joe.
You really need the data for this exact module.
I have SIM7600 modules from TinySine that are the Arduino pinout & form factor, and voltage compatible… but you still need to look after the power supply requirements at 5V for the module.
Jeffer,
Did you get your A7670G module working?
I have a question about using the A7670G if you could give me a minute. Can it operate using a standard mobile SIM card? I need to update a few devices using SIM800L modules before T-Mobile US turns off their 2G.
I haven't looked at it yet. Full schedule. I will use VBat with an adapter since I don't see Vcc on the board.
joe.
Hi, I attached my A7670G to the external supply 6V (9V is fine too) to the Gnd and Vin and it works fine. How do you initiate two consecutive calls without restarting modul with AT command? And how to get GPS working? Did anyone use bluetooth features?
