Power Arduino with Power Bank or Phone charger

Hello to all,

I have no background in eletronics and would like to know if I can power my arduino through a PowerBank which has 5V and 2A of output or to a phone charger which has 5V and 1A of output.

Sorry for the basic question.

Best Regards!

Yes, no problem to plug the USB lead of an Arduino into a powerbank.

Problem is that most (maybe all) powerbanks switch off after a while when a certain minimum current draw is detected, but there are ways to 'fool' the powerbank.

What about to the power socket with a phone charger?

Yes, a 5volt mains powered phone charger with USB lead or USB socket is a common way to power an Arduino.
