Power Supply for Arduino Robot

Hello everyone!

Recently acquired an Arduino Robot and bought separately, a power supply (9V - 1A) . The problem is that the batteries do not charge and the orange LED is weak.

I tried another power supply, with the same specifications (9V – 1A too), and it worked for a few minutes and then burned. :o :o :o

Please, does anyone know what the power supply indicated for the Arduino Robot?

Thanks!

Are you using four rechargeable NiMh AA batteries as specified in the board description?

Hi John!

Yes, I'm using 4 rechargeable NiMH batteries. Are the batteries that came with the packaging of the Arduino Robot.

Thanks!

Bilbot.

The instructions don't say much more than 9V: "The robot has an on-board battery charger that requires 9V external power coming from an AC-to-DC adapter (wall-wart). The adapter can be connected by plugging a 2.1mm center-positive plug into the Motor Board's power jack. The charger will not operate if powered by USB."

The Arduino store says that the robot comes with a 9V adapter. Didn't you get one?

My robot didn't come with an adapter, only as batteries.

I'll try the store, but the problem is that I'm in Brazil and the shipment is very expensive.

Thanks again John.
