Arduino IoT Cloud only works with boards which can get online, and the Pro Micro does not have connectivity hardware.
That aside, we only support a limited set of boards which enable secure connections.
In the specific the Arduino manufactured boards with Secure Cryptography Element using TLS1.2 and (for users with a Maker Plan) ESP8266 which only works in SSL and is considered less secure.
