Problem connecting Arduino UNO to IDE

Hello, I have recently bought an Arduino Uno R3 beginners kit It has an ATmega328P U chip on it. The problem I've been having is as follows : I've downloaded the most recent Arduino IDE from arduino.cc (Version 1.8.13, but I tried older versions as well), everything installs, I have connected the Arduino Uno to my PC and the drivers seem to be installed. But when I try to upload the BLINK example, it shows an error that I haven't selected a port for the Arduino, but when I try to do it, the Tools | Port button is grayed out. Been searching the forums for an answer, tried all kinds of drivers, Chinese and others. Nothing seems to work. Thanks in advance for help.

The 16u2 has the firmware missing, GOOGLE : Arduino flip to program 16U2

Never needed to do it, but it looks to be a simple process.

I tried using the FLIP program, but it also couldn't connect to the Arduino UNO. Unless I am doing something wrong.

Was the kit an OFFICIAL one or a clone ? (link to source)
Many clones require DRIVERS that are NOT included with the IFE.

Could you also take a few moments to Learn How To Use The Forum.

Other general help and troubleshooting advice can be found here.
It will help you get the best out of the forum in the future.

Then you will know how to post error messages etc as pictures of text are almost worthless.

I will presume you bought the one directly from China. They work perfectly fine, but there are basically no tutorials on how to use them.

First you need to find the drivers, but from the pictures I see that you already have that sorted. Then, the most important thing is to turn on/off the correct switches (tiny ones on the board).

You can take a look at this video, it explains the whole process of setting it up.

@tauriuslitvinavicius

There are literally thousands of topics covering setting up clones.

There are also much better videos than the one you pointed to which is actually for a slightly different board that has WiFi.

The same topic is also covered in all the README's at the top of each forum section.
