I've got a starter kit and I'm completely new to Arduino and electronics. I'm really not sure that I've placed my wires in the correct places or that my resistor is in the right place. I've tried to watch some videos but I can't make out where to put everything. I have the breadboard sheet but I find that even a little difficult to follow.
Obviously, my LED is not lighting up. I've got the program uploaded but the only thing that blinks is a light on the Arduino itself. My LED is placed in column F, with the positive side in F9 and the negative in F10. My resistor I have in J10 and the other end is in a negative socket. I have one wire going from J13 to socket 13 on the Arduino. And finally I have a black wire going from a negative socket to GND and a red wire going from a positive socket to 5V.
Not sure if that's right, especially how I have my LED and resistor placed.
