Screen Shot 2024-09-21 at 13.36.18
this is the picture of the port.
And i chose the the UNO R4 in the category cause i cant find the UNO R3

The R4 definitely won't work if you have an R3. Perhaps you might look for just "Arduino Uno" in the list of boards.

oh i just meant i put in the category section that u have to put to make a Topic in the forums and as i provided above i have selected Ardiuno UNO

Do you have

  1. an Uno WiFi R4
  2. an Uno Minima R4
  3. an Uno R3
  4. another Uno; please specify

Which operating system?

on the port or the hardware itself

Why not tell us both? We do not charge you by the word. Well in fact we do, it is word count * nothing.

What Operating system are you using? IDE 1.8.19 or IDE 2.x (where x is any number).

Also I am getting nothing under the big arrow, that purports to be a picture of your port.

The UNO R4 is a totally different processor to the normal Arduino UNO, If you choose that and do not have an actual R4 then not a lot will compile.

???

here is the port and i am using IDE 2.3.3

Also i apologize for the big delays between each replies

And Btw i have UNO R3 hardware that i am using to learn Ardiuno

Use tools / board to select the board and tools / port to select the port.

Which operating system?

As i showed here i picked the Ardiuno UNO system

Don't worry, some people have a life outside Arduino

Use tools board, not that drop down.

Tool boards??? how do i use that can u guide me

Oh i am sorry i forgot to mention that i am on a mac

Can you help me with the things on mac?

I don't use a Mac. See IDE opens but there is no FILE menu - #3 by ptillisch which will probably help.

Thank you for helping on that and btw it is on Ardiuno UNO

Based on the topic title, you seem to have an upload problem.

You've currently selected /dev/cu.usbmodem101. Are there other entries in tools / port?

If yes, try those.

I not, the question is if /dev/cu.usbmodem101 is indeed the Uno. To find out

  1. Close that menu.
  2. Disconnect the Uno.
  3. Open the menu.

If /dev/cu.usbmodem101 is still there, it's not your Uno.
