Project to test the capacity of LifePO4 26650 Cells

For some time I have been building power walls using 18650 Li-ion cells. I use readily available capacity testers to ensure my packs are all of a similar capacity.

I have now acquired a lot of 26650 Lifepo4 Lithium Iron Phosphate cells that I wish to build into a powerwall.

Problem is as these cells are not as common there are no greta options for capacity testing them, well not that I can find.

Now I'm a beginner at Arduino projects so, is it possible (I'm sure it is) to build a battery tester that will discharge a 26650 Lifepo4 cell from 3.65v Max to 2.5v at 500 ma, stop the discharge and display the measured capacity in mah on a lcd screen?

many thanks in advance

Try an iCharger 106, that does LiFe cells, had mine for 10 years or so, its very good at its job.

Dont the el-cheapo B6 chargers do LiFe as well ?

Yes, the Imax B6 does

NiMh NiCd LiPo Lilon LiFe and Pb

There is a real Imax B6 and many knockoff counterfeits. If you go the “el-cheapo B6” route, at least spring for a genuine one. not that much more.

I used a B6 as my main in charger for years.
