I realize that c++ language reference is available on the arduino web page. But is there any section on arduino.cc web page where to find the equivalent language reference but for pyhton language?
Hi @amuntanerc. There is no point in us trying to maintain a Python language reference when excellent references already exist on the Internet. A good place to get information is the official Python website:
To me, who did not learn/prcatice Python before, the suitable Python Language Refernce is the App Lab's Python Examples which I study, change, and experiment with the assistance of ChatGPT and internet.
The following two projects are also good sources of examples where Python Script and Arduino Sketch are working together to integrate the precision of Zephyr-MCU and the intelligence of Linux-MPU.
Project-1 @jens-bongartz
Project-2 @philippe86220
These are useful references for understanding how to use the Arduino App framework, the arduino Python package, and the Bricks provided by Arduino. However, the examples are not a good reference for the basics of Python (they never were intended to be such).
For someone who wants to get a good foundation for working with the Python language, I would actually recommend you start by writing some standalone simple Python scripts and run them on your standard PC, not via Arduino App Lab. This will allow you to quickly perform experiments without the added complexity of the Arduino App framework.
It is quite easy to install Python on your PC (and it might even already be installed there). Python is a nice language that can be useful for many applications, so you might end up finding it quite useful to be able to run Python scripts on your PC anyway.
It is needless to say that when we follow your advice, we get good results.
Thank you.
I am surprised to hear that. Please post a link to it
