Hello
How can I connect this shield to an external power supply?
Your topic was MOVED to its current forum category which is more appropriate than the original as it has nothing to do with Installation and Troubleshooting of the IDE
The shield is supposed to work attached on an Arduino board. You provide power to Arduino, Arduino provides power to the shield.
Thank you
Yes I know...however want to control three servos so their power consumption is by far higher than that provided by the Arduino board
Thanks
maybe you can simplify the way of posting!
Then y suggestion is providing power directly to the servos, if the power source has the same voltage of them and can handle their current needs.
Another option is forgetting the shield and getting specific PWM drivers, which will have voltage regulators and independent power supply jacks.
PS: being unpolite won't help you at all, specially to Forum moderators.
What could be simpler than selecting the appropriate forum category then adding a new topic to it ?
Don't call me unpolite
and forget that I asked a question!
If I am using a shield so I want it simple....reduce the number of connection...just plug the servo into it!
Thanks anyway!
