Does anyone know anything about the wireless protocol that Oregon Scientific uses between their sensors and the display units?
I have a rain gauge and would love to be able to read the data which it transmits and feed it to a web page but I can't find any information about the hardware.
I found a company which sells receivers for a lot of wireless hardware including Oregon Scientific but their receivers are very expensive.
This seems like a good project if the units transmit on one of the frequencies for which there are cheap receiver modules.
Sparkfun has just the sensors for a weather station. If you're into Arduino and hardware hacking you can probably build it for less than the OS product.
Thanks but I already own the rain gauge. I'd just like to be able to read the RF data which it sends to the indoor display unit and turn it into a web page.
I'm hoping that the RF receiver that Sparkfun sells could be used to receive the signal and was hoping there was someone out there who had already played with these sensors.
