Question about the Arduino Create web based IDE

Hi,

Does the Arduino web based IDE Create support ESP8266-12E board (Arduino Create??

If so could anyone explain how the ESP libraries can be added in the IDE ??

thanks
a

No, the Create Editor doesn't support any 3rd party boards currently. That feature may be added in the future, until then you will need to use the standard Arduino IDE for your ESP8266.

FYI, there is a section of the forum specifically for topics related to the Create Editor, where this post should have been made:
http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?board=101
EDIT: the thread was moved to the appropriate forum section.

They have added limited support for 3rd party boards and also boards using the CH340 USB chip (clones).

I too would like ESP support but its a work in progress so check back often as changes do come all the time.

Do you mean only the boards listed on the Boards menu? I guess technically you could consider the littlebits module and Windows 10 IoT core to be 3rd party but not really because they are making these boards in partnership with Arduino and paying for the privilege.

And the Lilypads were also quite a recent addition

thanks all, for the update,

sorry about posting in the wrong forum !!
