‘Raspberry and chips,’ not something you’d like to eat but in the world of silicon it’s actually a great combination. Eben Upton recently shared with us Raspberry Pi’s exciting vision for a revolutionary product that they were working on: a microcontroller, the RP2040, based on Raspberry Pi silicon.
I got a PICO on the way, the SDK, on the RPi has been loaded, and I've read the Pico C/C++ SDK. Just waiting for the Pico to arrive.
SparkFun and Adafruit sold out on release day which is not surprising for a Raspberry Pi board. There are lots of boards already designed waiting for bulk shipments of RP2040 chips. I am surprised this was keep a secret.

The Raspberry Pi folks seem to be incredibly good at keeping new products under wraps prior to the availability announcement. This release is particularly impressive in that regard because there were apparently multiple external partners working on their own board and software support packages leading up to the coordinated release announcement.
For those who want to add a reset button, then you just need to add a momentary switch to connect the RUN pin to GND:
Slightly OTT this switch but convnient in a breadboard.
