I picked up the Parallax RFID reader for some basic testing, and it works just fine. However, I have some RFID chips that don't work with the reader, so I'm sure they're on a different frequency.
Is there way I can tell what frequency the RFID chips I have are running at? That way I can locate the proper reader to work with them.
What I do is I plunk pieces of identifying information into google until i get a hit on the model number of the chip. If you can identify the manufacturer maybe the color of the plasic case is only used by a certain frequency.
That's the tough part, all I have is the RFID chip itself.
However, one of them I have identified as a 134 kHz chip. I'm having trouble locating a good Arduino-compatible reader/programmer for this frequency. Any recommendations?
