Rebuilding Arduino Code

We had this one licked, acts of Dog and life taketh a toll and the last working model left the building with Elvis. Its been 12 years since I figured this out with your help before, I can't find any of it. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. We have two 12 position rotary switches (Inductors on one and capacitors on deother) physically tied to calibrated stepping motors, when prompted switch one stays stationary, two goes all twelve positions, one to position two, two goes its twelve - and so on, 144 combinations took maybe 3.6 seconds, (mechanics are my problem, always open to suggesting) all while 0-300 milliamps are being monitored by sensor, at the end the steppers take the switches to positions which resulted in the highest combination of sw1,2. Stop. I will post sketch if necessary - fyi this was designed to keep vacuum tubes at peak output. Grid dip would simply reverse part of the code from highest to lowest methinks. Thank you -

Is there a problem with the code now ?

If so describe the problem and post the code.

He can't find any of it. Someone name Elvis may have a copy, not sure.

What was your username in 2012? FYI: Rules forbid multiple usernames... so once this is figured out, I suppose a lifetime ban is in order. : )

What happens in the case of a tie?

Were the twelve positions continuous through 360 degrees (every 30 degrees) or starting at 0 degrees and stopping at (for example) 270 degrees?

I think he will get a choice on what account to keep and the other account will be closed for life.
