Recommended conector for Arduino Mega Female Headers pins

Hi,

I have a quick question. I have a setup done for the arduino Mega and I am using typical male to male breadboard cables

How can I make a more permanent connection to the arduino headers? (to be secured for a couple of years without soldering to the headers? What type of connectors do you recommend?
Thank you,

Luis

I recommend header pins soldered to PCB that plugs in in the form of shield. Maybe a prototyping shield, to which you have soldered a box header, then use ribbon cable to connect to your project (or better still, fit your project on the protoshield).

A note though: be careful using ribbon cable - it has very high capacitance between adjacent conductors, so you should keep it short, and ideally alternate signal-ground-signal-ground etc to reduce crosstalk.

Hi!
Thank you for your answer!
