Hi folks, i am unsatisfied with the audio quality coming from an analog dvr board because it not only has some noise but also this hiss etc. thats why I started to research to maybe have almost an external recorder but of course as small as possible and better quality
Whats the smartest option to tackle this problem? Best case would be something like a better quality ADC and hooked up straight to an sd card module but this wont work I assume haha. Because it really doesnt need anything else than that and a triggering option to start/stop record which I would route to the same recording button of the dvr so sync wouldnt be that much of an issue.
why do you think there will be no noise on the digital board? The more quality ADC you take, the more accurately it will transmit your sound, all sound, including noise.
Why do you want to record audio through ADC? What will be at the input - an analog signal? Where does this signal come from?
and had first one of those regular electret mics hooked up but the quality was so terrible and i attached dji wireless lav receiver to it with this result. https://youtu.be/ldPCX33uCvg Dont mind the distortion I wasnt sure how loud/quiet I would be and have constantly changed the distance to get a rough overview.
Since they dji thingy is superb with modern cameras its either the audio processing part on the pcb before or within the encoding where the quality loss kicks in. Question is how I could figure that out and even then I dont think I can just 1:1 replace with a better quality adc, right? Say the circuitry around the adc like resistor values dont match with the better quality one. Thats why i think going external is the safest way but i am open to hack in existing things
This is almost the same product but I could also take close high res photos of my pcb if it really would make sense to hack
