Repeated problem uploading sketch to Arduino mega

hi all,

on my notebook with windows11 have repeated problems uploading sketch to Arduino mega 2560 !
with Win7 on my PC it works every time (just as it does with A.nano on all my computers).

file ch340 is available as driver.

depending on upgrade version of windows11 loading sketch works or works Not !
its too depending of A.mega board : with the board from Joy-IT it works more often..

thats exciting because every time win11 gets an update the problem apears again..

think, if i cant find any reason or solution
will change to A.nano at all places where i have A.mega now
and use with expanders..

It would be useful to know what the errors are that you get. I suspect that changing to a Nano with CH340 will not solve your problem.

but from the notebook where ch340 is available
with A.nano sketch loading was never a problem !?

in the IDE port-item is hided (not selectable)
if conneted with A.mega and
boards and processors selected correctly

will post here error messages next time..

i`m sorry ..this morning after connecting laptop with A.mega via short cable
ports are selectable and all worked, even then with long cable too !

So in the moment cant send error messages , sorry ..

will try with newer IDE , report then..

ok, with newest IDE it works too at now..will see after next Win-Update hopefully :slightly_smiling_face:

no hope no future for A.mega here

after restarting the laptop the old error comes again : no Ports with A.mega !

now i get rid of it and change to A.nano with expander(s)..
