Resources on how to add batteries to a pcb

hi! i'm designing a pcb and i'm a bit lost on how to add my lifepo4 batteries to it. well, connecting a battery is simple...: i'm specifically lost on the implementation of a charging IC. do you know any resources on this topic and would like to share them?

edit: lifepo4 = lithium iron phosphate. and the cells are not in series. i do have several but i'm planning on putting them in parallel.

Does lifepo4 mean 4 lipo cells in series or is that a typo?

Good theory! I think you're right.

My suggestion would be to find a circuit you like from, say, Adafruit and copy it. Adafruit usually gives PCB layout along with circuit schematic.
