RFID long range reader

I need to build 13.56 MHz reader with 20-40 cm reading range.I want to use rc522 module but i don't how to attach an antenna and which one to choose. Can you help me with these ? Thanks in advance

You can't do it.

I can't,or it is not possible ?

bit of both. That is way outside the normal read range. If you were to have some very expensive test equipment ( Like a network analyser ) and quite a bit of RF engineering skill then it may be possible. But this is not a kitchen table project.

Can you or someone else suggest an antenna that is already built and a reader that can satisfy my needs. Thanks

Looks like NOBODY is willing to post a price for a long range HF RFID reader. You may have to find an RFID specialist company and pay hundreds to thousands of dollars. :(

Use Active RFID?

If it were as easy as that then you could do it. I worked With RFID readers for five years designing them. I am not some chancer that dosn't know what I am talking about.

Well ,i didn't want to offend you,but without any RFID knowledge I am sure i can attach Feig Electronics ID ISC.ANT300/300 ANTENNA to a reader .Or I am wrong?

FEIG ELECTRONICS 1260.022.00 LONG RANGE READER 13.56MHZ ID ISC.LRM2000-B $2,709.00 FEIG ELECTRONICS 14510000001 FEIG, ID ISC.ANT 300/300 ANTENNA, MANUAL TUNING $600.00

$600.00 just for MANUAL TUNING

Yeah it is obvious i can't spend so much money on this so can someone offer another solution.
