RFID-RC522

Hello,

I am having a difficult time on programming my RFID reader to read my cards. I have been following a tutorial but the example code does not seem to work for me as it does not recognize any card i put in front of the reader. I was wondering if i am doing something wrong or even how to proceed.

I am new to arduino and just need some guidance to move my project along.

Any information would help and thank you so much for your time.

The code I have been using found from the tutorial: Arduino Project Hub

/*
 * --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 * Example sketch/program showing how to read data from a PICC to serial.
 * --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 * This is a MFRC522 library example; for further details and other examples see: https://github.com/miguelbalboa/rfid
 *
 * Example sketch/program showing how to read data from a PICC (that is: a RFID Tag or Card) using a MFRC522 based RFID
 * Reader on the Arduino SPI interface.
 *
 * When the Arduino and the MFRC522 module are connected (see the pin layout below), load this sketch into Arduino IDE
 * then verify/compile and upload it. To see the output: use Tools, Serial Monitor of the IDE (hit Ctrl+Shft+M). When
 * you present a PICC (that is: a RFID Tag or Card) at reading distance of the MFRC522 Reader/PCD, the serial output
 * will show the ID/UID, type and any data blocks it can read. Note: you may see "Timeout in communication" messages
 * when removing the PICC from reading distance too early.
 *
 * If your reader supports it, this sketch/program will read all the PICCs presented (that is: multiple tag reading).
 * So if you stack two or more PICCs on top of each other and present them to the reader, it will first output all
 * details of the first and then the next PICC. Note that this may take some time as all data blocks are dumped, so
 * keep the PICCs at reading distance until complete.
 *
 * @license Released into the public domain.

		return;
	}

	// Select one of the cards

		return;
	}

	// Dump debug info about the card; PICC_HaltA() is automatically called
	mfrc522.PICC_DumpToSerial(&(mfrc522.uid));
}

the example code does not seem to work for me as it does not recognize any card i put in front of the reader.

Can you please provide a link to the particular RFID reader and cards that you are using

Hello,

I got it from amazon,
Qunqi MFRC-522 RC522 RFID RF IC Card Inductive Module.

Here is the think:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016ZBKDLI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493023605&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=rfid+arduino&dpPl=1&dpID=419W0P%2BWnYL&ref=plSrch

Thank you for your response

I am having a difficult time on programming my RFID reader to read my cards.

I really expect the manufacturer of the reader to have done that programming.

What you need to do is program the Arduino to read the data that the RFID reader sends to it.

That link is absolutely useless. Amazon does NOT make that hardware. Find out who does, and you'll most likely find useful data on their site.

I got one very similar to that a while back. Turns out the reader sets the IRQ pin to LOW when a card is detected, which all the guides and examples left out. I'll see if I can dig up some old program I got working for it.

mohon bantuannya terimakasih

I found a problem on the door access system project, i want to use 2 rfid rc522 with one arduino mega, 2 rfid raeder i use to identify the time of entering and exiting someone door, anyone know program 2 rfid rc522 with one arduino mega?
Please help him thanks
