I'm new to arduino and i need help with a code to move 5 servos with joysticks, is a robotic arm, i want when i release the joystick the servo don’t go to the original position. Please help me,

How is the Arduino supposed to know when you want joystick motion to mean something and when you don't want it to mean anything?
