Seeed Studio Xiao and Waveshare Color OLED

Long story short, new to Arduino stuff. Trying to get the Seeed Studio Xiao to work with a Waveshare Color RGB OLED 128x128 1351

I've successfully gotten the board to interface with a SH1106 monochrome OLED to display some images, but have been having trouble getting anything working with this 1351 OLED.

Basically I want to be able to display a sort of slide show of images on the OLED. Any pointers to direct me towards getting this started would be greatly appreciated!

Error compiling for board Arduino Uno.

one fault is your ardunio IDE is adjusted to Arduino Uno but you are using a Seeeduino XIAO SAMD21 which needs its own core-installation
Look up the Seeeduino XIAO SAMD21 wiki to learn how to install this board

then if there are compiler errors again
adjust your Arduino-ide like described in this tutorial

best regards Stefan

ah sorry, that link was just for reference of someone making use of one of these Waveshare OLED's, but is not my code or anything to do with me.

YOU

posted this error-messages.

Why do you confuse people in this way?
The result will be that nobody wants to help you anymore
Why should anybody take time to post irrelevant information?

You waste other peoples time and don't even feel sorry about it.

I posted a link and said before it "Maybe a useful link?" At no point did I say this was my code that I needed help with and that it wasn't working. That is not my code, I do not need help fixing it, I did not put Arduino Uno in the code because none of it is my code or has anything to do with what I am trying to accomplish here. I linked it and explicitly stated that it might be a useful link because it was code related to the OLED I am using.

I literally said sorry, I'm not sure what else to say to explain that I was sorry that they took the time to parse the data that wasn't mine. But again, I never ever stated that the "Maybe a useful link?" was my code or what I was working on.

If there is another way I could have said sorry that would have matched your definition then please tell me.

No problem. Just make sure that you post your data next time, stuff from other people/sources usually is not worth the time reading.

If you want really help post

your sketch
and
post
your fully setailed compiler-log

or
ask explicitly
does somebody know a link to where I can copy & paste a demo-Code for exactly this Waveshare OLED display?

Sorry (again) I should have explained that I tried a handful of sketch attempts but got nowhere. I really don't think they would be useful here. The best I could attach is the one I did for a different monochrome OLED that I got working.

No this sketch for the monochrome OLED does not help at all because it is a different OLED!

Can you at least accept that finding the reason requires your sketch that does not compile.

post that sketch that produces the compiler-errors

Here is the code I got working with the Xiao with a different monochrome OLED in case this is useful:

You linked to this website

The code you have posted uses the I2C-interface
which is something totally different that the SPI-interface that your display uses

the technical of this website says

And you have to determine by a solderbridge if you want to use
3-wire-SPI
or
4-wire-SPI

As long as you try to use a I2C-bus code for a SPI-bus device
nothing will work
additionally you have to find the library for the 1351 driver-chip

image

The search strategy is gogling with this keywords

"github" , "arduino" "typenumber of device"
in your case
"github" , "arduino" "1351"

which leads to this GiPo

or you use the arduino -libary-manager and search for

1351

click on more info to look up which library does support displaying pixel pictures

looking through the examples
which example sounds like doing pictures

Thank you for the searching advice. Looks like it's one step forward and one step back as after testing the code I'll post below from the FTOLED Library Examples, I got the OLED to come up and display garbage (minor success?). But in this wake I have found that the included breakout cable has a loose wire with the Red Positive that was maybe hampering my previous attempts with different codes.

These displays use SPI to communicate, 4 or 5 pins are required to
