selecting the perfect brushless motor for a drone

my drone frame and all the components weighs around 3.1kg
now I am not sure of the KV rating of the brushless motor
my friend suggests me go for 920KV rating
I'm not sure whether to purchase it or is there some other motor with a specific rating(in KV)that could lift my drone which weighs around 3.1kg
please help me as soon as possible

Seek advice in one of the specialist 'Drone' forums, for instance;

What battery voltage are you you using? How many Amps can the battery supply? How much current are the ESC's rated for? Those values are important to know since they will limit your choice of motor.

In general, a LARGE quadcopter (or hexcopter, or octocopter) will use LARGE propellers (10-inch or larger) and thus low-KV motors.

You haven't even said how many motors are on your "drone". That's useful information.

Also Kv has very little to do with the power of motors. There are quite a few other parameters you also need to look at when choosing motors.
