Serial plot tutorial?

Is there a tutorial or specification that explains all the functions of the Serial plotter.
The one on the Arduino.cc site does not seem to explain the newest features such as colour labelling multi track colour codes.

The things I keep finding on the Web are all old and do not describe these new features.

Thanks, you this looks like the sort of thing I am after.

Using old code on the new system did result in a lot of junk characters on the plot labels, this should allow me to correct the old code.
